Lihue Airport (LIH) offers public parking facilities for passengers and visitors. The main parking lot is conveniently located facing the terminal, with employee parking situated behind it. As of March 2025, the parking rates and options have been updated:
There’s a 15-minute free grace period. After that, rates start at $2 for the first half hour and increase gradually. The maximum cost for 24 hours is $24.

Accessible Parking
Accessible parking spaces are available in the main parking lot, conveniently located near the terminal entrance. These spaces are reserved for vehicles displaying valid disability placards or license plates.
Electric Vehicle Parking
LIH provides dedicated parking spaces for electric vehicles in the main public parking area. As of March 2025, there are two Level 2 charging stations available. The charging fee is $7 per session, but it’s free for vehicles with electric vehicle license plates.
Advance booking: Although not specifically mentioned for Lihue, it’s a good general practice to consider booking your parking in advance to ensure a space, especially during peak seasons
Cell Phone Waiting Area
A free cell phone waiting area is available for drivers picking up arriving passengers. It’s located curbside along Ho’olimalima Place, next to the car rental facilities. This area is open from 5:00 AM until 10:00 PM daily, with a maximum waiting time of 60 minutes.

- Monthly parking for the general public has been discontinued as of April 2024.
- The parking facilities operate on a first-come, first-served basis, with no advance reservations available.
